At the beginning of the creating phase, the worksite is full of photographs and whatever else may be necessary to create the subject and in this case it is the BB doll
Plasticine, wooden sticks, sharp curved nails are the ideal tools |
The first raw masses of the face are traced by trying to respect general proportions and finding the volumes of the forehead, nose and mouth |
This phase involves finding the essential facial features and the definition of the somatic traits |
|
With the help of a wet imprint on the plasticine, all of the points corresponding to the referring image are traced |
After having obtained the desired interpretation, it’s necessary to stucco and eliminate any imperfections. Fingers cannot reach all areas therefore some small tools must be used |
When the prototype has dried properly, it is smoothed with the help of a very fine grain abrasive paper and a coating is put on the surface |
|
The hair test gives a complete vision of the creation even without eyes and color, so the face is already recognizable |
