Pope John Paul II

The material used for this is white Plasticine. It is difficult to use this substance because of its low resistance to heat (it softens by just handling it). It is preferred to other products because of its candor which lets you find very rapidly the volumes thanks to a play of light and shade that is formed on the surface while it is being worked.

To differentiate and render some details more legible, water colors can be mixed with white base.

The central figure is the final result of the work. It was obtained by pouring a resin of recomposed marble into a mould of figures after having been made in Plasticine.
The patina on the surface is the final phase of workmanship.
